Our take
I picked up a used Traktor Kontrol S2 Mk1 and it's a solid entry-level controller. The build feels reliable, and having a built-in sound card makes setup easy. The 3-band EQ and filter effects are straightforward, and the auto BPM function works well for beatmatching. It's compact and USB powered, so it's great for mobile use. However, being an older model, the touch strips can be a bit finicky, and the software integration is limited to Traktor Pro. For the price, it's a good way to get into DJing, but don't expect modern features like RGB pads or advanced performance controls.
