Our take
As an older MK1 model, this Traktor S2 still gets the job done for basic mixing. The 16 pads are generous for the price, and having a phono input allows turntable connection. The built-in effects and filter knobs add creativity without needing a separate unit. However, the sampling rate tops out at 44.1kHz, not 96kHz like newer models, and the build feels a bit dated. No warranty is included, so you're buying as-is. For $279, it's a decent entry point if you want more pads than the newer S2, but the audio specs are behind the times.
