As a long-time Traktor user, the Kontrol MX2 feels like a natural fit. The build quality is solid—metal chassis gives it a premium touch—and the included Magma case is a thoughtful addition for gigging. The 4-port USB hub is surprisingly handy for connecting other gear. That said, the two-channel layout is limiting once you start juggling multiple decks or external sources. Also, the lack of full-size jog wheels means scratching feels different from my turntables. Still, for tight integration with Traktor and a portable setup, it's hard to beat at this price point.
